Dear Parents,

It is with regret and great sadness that the Governing Body has to inform you that we have accepted the resignation of Ms Marshall, effective from the end of this summer term.

We are now in the process of appointing a new Headteacher which will be carried out by our Governing Body Appointment Panel; this will include representatives from the Diocesan Board of Education and the Local Education Authority.

Through her strategic direction and leadership, Ms Marshall has ensured that our children, staff and Governors have played an integral role in developing our school.  Our School Vision and Aims are now firmly embedded and the continuity of care, commitment and high quality of provision for our children will continue to be our main priorities during this time of transition.  Therefore, we are very pleased to inform you that Mrs Macaulay has once again accepted the position of Acting Headteacher.  She has completed the NPQH qualification and is ready to build on the successes of the last two years.

I know that this has been a very difficult decision for Ms Marshall to make.  However, her reason is due to a change in her personal circumstances.  With her blessing, her husband has accepted a career opportunity in Melbourne, Australia and she will be accompanying him.

I am sure you will join with me in wishing them both the very best for the future.  They are very much in our thoughts and prayers at this time.

Yours sincerely

Mr Reginald Barrett

Chair of Governors
