Chalke Valley Link Scheme
Serving the Valley from Berwick St John to Bodenham since 1996 and awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2006, the Chalke Valley Link Scheme provides good neighbour support with transport and other practical help for residents of the Valley.
For example, we can provide:
For Transport requests: please phone 01722 718780 (Anna Mynott, Debby Underhill or Roger Brown in weekly rotation).
For other Good Neighbour Support: please phone 01722 421270 (Debby Underhill).
The co-ordinator answering the phone will take your details and contact a volunteer who is able to help you. Sometimes, you may find that your call is answered by a recorded message. If that happens, please leave your contact details and a co-ordinator will respond as soon as possible. There is no charge, but you are invited to make a donation towards the costs of running the Scheme.
Our co-ordinators and the 10 or so drivers in Coombe Bissett and Homington are all volunteers, and while we do our best to help, there may be times when we just do not have a volunteer available. Please give us as much notice as possible.
If you have any queries or, indeed, would like to become a volunteer, please call one of the numbers above.
