Coombe Bissett & Homington Tennis Club

Picture
Our friendly club located on Pennings Drove in Coombe Bissett started life in 1986.  Our membership of about 60 people is mainly drawn from the villages of Coombe Bissett and Homington but some come from further afield.
We offer two courts in one of the most picturesque locations in the country. The playing service is maintained to a high standard having only recently been re-painted.

The Clubhouse known as the Jubilee Pavilion was officially opened on 3rd June 2012 to mark the 60th Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
There is ample car parking space and portable seating for spectators.
For further information or membership application forms please contact the club secretary.

Club Information
Outside of club times, members are welcome to use the courts at any time. Guests may be invited to play on the payment of a non-members guest fee of £3 per player per day.
There is no formal booking system although the club does operate a WhatApp group to facilitate communication.
Club times are on Sundays from 10am onwards all year;
Wednesday's from 5.30pm onwards during the summer and 2pm onwards during the winter and the Ladies meet on Friday mornings, normally from 10am onwards all year.
A mixed doubles and a ladies tournament are played annually. A lunch usually follows after both tournaments.   A second mixed doubles competition know as the Red Leader runs annually between 1st May and 30th September.
The Village Primary School uses the courts on Tuesday afternoons during the summer term.
Contact details for a tennis coach are displayed in the Jubilee Pavilion.
Each year various social events, including an annual dinner, are organised at which members, non players and social members are welcome.
